Men suspected to Boko Haram Terrorists have attacked Kwamda- Kobla village in Madagali LGA and killed ten people in the northern part of Adamawa State.
Sources indicated that about twenty Boko Haram members attacked the village at around 5 am on Saturday morning killing several men with knives and axes.
The chairman of Madagali Local Government Council, Maina Ularamu said the attackers did not shoot, they instead cut the heads of their victims.
According to him members of vigilantes had gone after the attackers before they escaped to their hide outs in the surrounding villages.
“The village is five kilometers from Gulak town but there is no security presence there as soldiers are deployed to Madagali town and Gulak only. When vigilantes went after the militants, they escaped to the their hide outs in the area”, he said
The relative calm in Northern Adamawa was disrupted few days ago after a suicide bomber suspected to be a member of Boko Haram launched an attack on Garkida town ,the first of its kind since they began operations in Nigeria.
