Professor Julius Ihonvbere has resigned his appointment as Secretary to Edo State Government.A statement by Peter Okhiria,chief press secretary to Governor Adams Oshiomhole said his boss has accepted Ihonvbere’s resignation.
“Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State has accepted the resignation of Professor Julius Ihonvbere from the cabinet as Secretary to the State Government”,Okhiria said.
“The Governor thanks Prof Ihonvbere for his services to the Government and the state”,he said further.
According to the CPS , “Governor Oshiomhole wishes Prof Ihonvbere well in his future endeavours.”
Ihonvbere a former topshot at Ford Foundation served as Adviser to President Olusegun Obasanjo.He joined Edo State Government at the beginning of his second term.
The Professor decamped from PDP to campaign for Oshiomhole’s reelection as APC candidate.
