Nobel Laureate ,Professor Wole Soyinka has revealed that he has been diagnosed of cancer.Soyinka who made this disclosure while addressing journalists at the June 12 Cultural Centre, Abeokuta, Ogun State added that he had decided to make it public in order to raise awareness about it.
Though he did not state so specifically, reports quoting family sources said Soyinka indeed has prostate cancer which he had described as an unwanted squatter.
Though cancer is known as a silent killer,Soyinka said he has overcome the danger because of a combination of factors such as early detention, treatment as well as effective dieting.
