9 Killed As Gunmen Attack Plateau Villages

Reports from Plateau State today said gunmen killed at least 9 people in Gako and Tanjol villages in Riyom Local Government Council .
At least two churches and many other houses were reported to have been destroyed during the attack.
Though plateau has been ravaged for many years by ethno –religious crisis, there appeared to be a lull until the ueasy calm was blown away recently by bomb explosions .
The killing of 9 in Riyom is an indication that more work needs to be done to consolidate on the peace building efforts in Plateau state.
