Hajiya Binta Abdullahi Kuraye a politician from Katsina State is a self –confessed staunch supporter of President Goodluck Jonathan.She is the President of ‘Northern Woman for Peace Forum’.In fact she calls the President Oga,obviously as a measure of her support.In this chat with Danlami Nmodu,publisher/editor –in- chief Newsdiaryonline.com , she says it’s only a question of time before Jonathan declares and that only God can stop him;an evident reply to the assertion that Jonathan is scared of declaring for 2015 as espoused by Hajiya Najatu Muhammed in an interview published at the weekend by Newsdiaryonline.com. The chat with Hajiya Binta was conducted in Hausa and translated into English below.Excerpts:
Q:…You are arguing that what Hajiya Najatu said (in her interview with Newsdiaryonline.com concerning President Jonathan ) is not correct?
A:Yes.What she said ,even she knows they are not correct.Because ,first, she said President Jonathan has not declared because he is afraid, because everybody does not want him.Up till now, we don’t know if she is everybody Who is everybody?Also,APC that she has said people should pick, that APC is a good party;BU we have seen signs of APC’s kind of work. For us, in all of our PDP states, there is nowhere that is the headquarters of bombings.There is no way for killings except in APC states.And it’s like APC sent her to come and work for them (through the interview).Who is she whether Jonathan declares or not? Are we talking now about declaring or are we talking of rendering assistance to APC that brought us insecurity through abduction of people’s children and killings….?
Q:Why would you say APC brought about this?
A:They are of course.Who else?If not ,will she come and sit down to say Oga(Jonathan ) has failed to declare because he is afraid.Afraid of who?Is he afraid of her….?
Q;She has only expressed her mind (in the interview) about the way politics is now .Ok,in your view, why has the president not declared up till now?
A:Yes, he not declared because it is not time for declaring in his view.Once people are patient, the time will soon come,it will soon happen.If he will run, he will say so.If he wouldn’t run,he will say so.Is that what they are waiting to hear, so that they will continue with the chaos they are used to?It is not fear, just that it’s not yet time (to declare).And they can’t force him to do what the time is not yet ripe.
Q:But this chaos,insecurity started even before APC was formed.Is that not?
A:But ,even then, when you make a plan, you do it with the future in view.They know those responsible for all this.And by Allah’s will, when the time comes-you know nobody can bribe Allah.Allah willexpose all those behind this insecurity.
Q:If you say APC is responsible for everything,why has government not arrested anybody ?
A:The time is coming (God will expose them)…..And throughout our PDP states there is nowhere you have this chaos(insurgency)
Q:But people are saying it is the PDP government that doesn’t know how to solve the problem.That is why things are like this
A:…PDP government is doing its best.And really PDP government is trying its level best.But you know despite your efforts, if Allah joins you with your enemies that are around you,enemies ,those who surround you,they know what to go round and spoil things.But they should remember, there is one (God) that cannot be bribed.There is one that doesn’t listen to anybody.Allah does His things.And it is Allah gave Jonathan power ,not them…All these (things) will not stop Jonathan from winning power.By the grace of Allah, I assure you, in 2015 Jonathan will return.And Goodluck, nobody has worked like him.He has done a lot of work in this country,not small at all.
Q:Like what?
A:You see work on (PHCN reforms),you see SURE-P.Have you heard two points? He established Islamic(Arabic )schools.He worked roads.He helped the masses.If you say what is the problem with Jonathan?It’s just because he is not a northerner and not a Muslim…But we have seen northerners that have held power(in the past).Let them tell us what they changed in the north as a whole.When they were leaders of the country, let them tell us what they did.They did nothing.Because of that he(Jonathan) has come, doing his best……We are praying to Allah ,all those doing this,Allah should expose them.By God’s grace, whoever is involved in these killings of people and the abduction of children, by Allah’s grace, He will expose them..If we in PDP are the ones doing it,May God expose us.If they APC are the ones,Allah willing,He will expose them…But we know our PDP government, we are innocent…Even see this trouble created for us, we are struggling how to secure the release of the abducted children.We are trying to find how to solve the problem.And we are praying,whoever is involved in this thing whichever country he is or wherever he is, Allah should expose him.
Q;Let’s come back to 2015 election.You said nothing can stop Jonathan except Allah?
A:Yes and in truth.Allah that gave it to him,He is the only one that can stop him(Jonathan) from from returning.No one else can. Because human being does not give power.Money doesn’t give power.If they do ,some people would have acquired power in this country.But everything is in Allah’s hand.Only Allah gives power.And by His grace,Allah will give him(Jonathan power).And he will return.Then when he returns, they should prepare another plan to dissolve(destabilize) the country….
Q:You surprise me.PDP is in power and you are blaming APC.If they are behind this ,why haven’t they been arrested
A:I told you to relax…Allah will expose them.Ver y soon you will see!That is (why they are annoyed ).Don’t worry.
