Contrary to official claims that there is no evidence that the plane , which Nigeria’s federal aviation authorities have now grounded under controversial circumstances, is owned by Rivers State, Newsdiaryonline.com has obtained a copy of the Insurance certificate which shows that the aircraft is owned by Rivers State.
It was learnt that the Insurance certificate was also attached with the application for licence.
Special Assistant, Media, Joe Obi to Nigeria’s Aviation Minister, Stella Oduah yesterday accused Rivers State of presenting allegedly forged documents for processing approvals.According to Obi “The presentation of false information or forged documentation to regulatory authorities in the processing of official approvals or permits is clearly a serious violation of the Civil Aviation Act, the Nigerian Civil Aviation Regulations and other extant criminal laws in the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
“Upon conclusion of these internal investigations, the Ministry will take all necessary steps required by law.” flight clearance documents
Reports said the minister’s alleged forgery claim may be coming on the heels of hints that Caverton Helicopters, whose name appeared on the flight clearance documents used by the aircraft have distanced themselves from it in letter to aviation authorities..
But the global insurance certificate published below showing that that the aircraft is owned Rivers state may present another twist in the tale.
