The national president of Tansian University Alumni Association has congratulated Comr. Rome Ibekwe on his recent appointment as Transition Committee Chairman of Anaocha Local Government Area of Anambra State.
Mr. Anyaduba stated this during a public function of the alumni association.
The alumni leader thanked the Executive Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo for finding Comr. Ibekwe who is a product of Tansian University, Umunya, Anambra State worthy to lead the local government.
Rome became the local government Chairman after confirmation from Anambra State House of Assembly.
Mr. Anyaduba advised the new chairman to use his good offices to attract more development to the communities that made up the local government area.
In the related development, the Relations Coordinator of Tansian University Alumni Association and Chairman of Anambra State Branch of the alumni association, Dr. Nze U. Nze enjoined the Anaocha Local Government Area helmsman to utilise the opportunity given to him to make a difference in the council area. Also to leave footprint in the sand of time before leaving office. That Tansian University products were known for outstanding performance whenever they are in any leadership position.
Nze recalled that within two years and some moths of Gov. Soludo’s administration, Tansian University Alumni Association has produced two Transition Committee Chairmen of local governments. The academic doctor explained that Hon. Augustine Onyemaobi who was immediate past Transition Committee Chairman of Dunukofia Local Government Area is a product of Tansian University.
