KANO – Directorate of Security Services (DSS) Wednesday, paraded one Mr Ayuba Usman believed to be main supplier of explosive materials to terrorist group.
Briefing newsmen in Kano, the Director, State Security Service, Kano, Mr Bassey Ettang explained that the suspect has been identified by high profile suspects in their custody.
“In tradition with our promise to keep Kano abreast of event, we are happy to inform the public that we have arrested one Ayuba Usman believed to be chief supplier of explosive to terrorist group in Kano and beyond. He is a native of Dala local government area of Kano State”, Ettang disclosed.
He noted that Ayuba’s arrest was a painstaking effort after extracting useful information from the confessions made by arrested terrorist suspects on procurement of explosive materials.
He said that robust investigation has commenced to burst the ring of those involved in the circle of violence with the intention of bringing them to justice.
Ettang commended Kano residents for their cooperation so far on war against terrorism, stressing that, “our operations on this war is intelligence- driven”.
