#TrackNigeria: Governor Aminu Tambuwal of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has cleared 11 out of the 15 local governments so far collated by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) opponent, Alhaji Ahmed Aliyu also won in four of the 15 local governments.
According to the results so far collated, while Tambuwal won Kware, Tangaza, Silame, Binji, Gudu, Bodinga, Isa, Tureta, Tambuwal, Sabon Birni and Sokoto South local governments with 318,397 votes, Aliyu with in Rabah, Yabo, Wurno and Dange Shuni local governments with 291,989 votes.
Newsdiaryonline reports that the vote difference stands at 26,499, with the results of eight local governments yet to be collated.
The state Returning Officer, Prof. Fatima Batul Mukhtar postponed collation to 8.30pm because none of the returning officers from the remaining local governments was at the venue of the collation.
