A PDP chieftain from Kogi State, Alhaji Jibrin Isah Echocho has called on the party’s National Chairman Alhaji Ahmed Adamu Mu’azu to lay more emphasis on dialogue with a view to achieving permanent unity, peace and development in the party.
In a statement signed by Abubakar Rajab ,th PDP chieftain constant dialogue would help towards ensuring Unity and Political Stability in the Party.
He described PDP as an act of God saying that PDP is a great party with great vision for the progress and developments of the country.
Echocho commended the recent appointment of Alhaji Mu’azu as the National Chairman of PDP, explaining that the new chairman has started using his wealth of experience in order to tackle internal crisis in the party.
According to him “Mu’azu’s efforts have started yielding result because right now Dalhatu Bafarawa from Sokoto State and Mallam Ibrahim Shekarau from Kano State have joined the PDP together with their teaming supporters and moreover a lot of APC supporters have dumped their party and joined PDP”.
He said some of the members of the National Assembly (Senate and Reps) that joined APC recently have returned to PDP and they promised to put in their best for unity and progress of the party.
Echocho called on the entire members of PDP to give all the needed support and cooperation to Mu’azu’s Leadership to enable the party regain its strength.
He said the chances of President Goodluck Jonathan and PDP come 2015 are very bright considering the fact that PDP leadership has done a lot to the country and its citizens in the last 15 years of its existence.
He mentioned some of the dividends of democracy executed by the PDP led administration between 1999 to date such as the introduction of mobile Phone, rehabilitation of health and educational sectors, roads construction, freedom of expression of views and several developments activities.
