The governor elect of Plateau State,Mr Simon Lalong has given assurance that his people are ready to work with Nigeria’s president-elect ,General Muhammadu Buhari.He further said that they are with him on the new Nigeria. “The vote for the APC candidates in the state was the true reflection and actual figures unlike the PDP that got their figures in a dubious and questionable way”,he said.
Lalong came on a visit Thursday to the president elect along with some elders and political big wigs from the state .They include Mr Joshua Dariye,Pauline Talen ,senator John Shagaya, the deputy governor elect,State House Of Assembly members elect and some former members .
The governor elect also said the visit was to felicitate with the president elect on the resounding victory at the March 28 poll just as he reviewed the journey so far in the state.He commended the dedicated efforts of the APC members in state chapter.
General Buhari in his response expressed joy as he stood up to thank them . He also confessed that Plateau was one the states he never knew the APC would come victorious. The General noted that for the last sixteen years no opposition survived in Plateau apart from the PDP.
Buhari also noted that the it was gratifying that APC has broken the jinx .He jokingly said some people called it tsunami,hurricane among others but the good thing is that change has finally come.The wind of change is moving so fast that even the elites who always fold their arms before like the masses are all agitating for change because it is affecting their immediate constituency where they don’t want to be relegated to the ground ,he noted.
Buhari said ” I read from the newspaper this morning that the power megawatt has fallen from 3000 watts to 2500″ and not only that the oil price has also fallen drastically and the PDP always want absolve themselves of the blames,when actually they are the party in power for the past sixteen year.
