The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Edo has advised fleet operators yet to register their fleet in the state to do so to avoid sanctions.
Mr Henry Benamaisia, the State Sector Commander of the corps, gave the advice on Monday in Benin during the first quarter fleet operators’ meeting with the command.

Benamaisia in his opening remarks said that the meeting was in line with the corps’ 2022 strategic goals and headquarters directive.
He explained that those who had yet to register their fleet should do so to avoid their fleet being closed down.
He also advised the various fleet operators on the need to install speed limiting devices in all their functioning vehicles, adding that this would help regulate speed and reduce the number of speed related crashes in the state.

He also said that the enforcement of compliance with the installation of speed limiting device in vehicles in the state was ongoing.
He said that vehicles without the device would be sanctioned and made to install it.
