A suspected suicide bomber has hit St John’s Catholic Church in Bauchi .The blast which hit the church located along Wunti area of the city occurred this morning
Earlier reports said the suicide bomber was killed by the blast.Other injured victims have been evacuated to a hospital in the city.
Reuters however reported that several people were dead just as many were injured . The news agency also quoted Yushau Shuaib, spokesman of NEMA who said “Rescuers have evacuated the dead and injured to the University Teaching Hospital. The casualty figure can’t be determined yet”
Shuaib also wrote on facebook that “NEMA confirms a suicide bomber killed after the explosion close to a worship centre in Bauchi. Rescuers have cordoned off the area”.
