The new Commissioner of Police for Sokoto State, Salisu Fagge has disclosed that the Command had arrested 135 political thugs in the last few days.
He made the disclosure at the Command headquarters in Sokoto on Tuesday during his first interaction with Journalists where he also said that the command seized several locally-made weapons from the thugs so arrested.
According to him, “Even yesterday, we made arrests and seizures in the metropolis,” adding that “We will not grant bail to any of them and anyone indicted following investigations will be charged to court.”
Fagge vowed that the police in the state would not sleep until the people could sleep with their eyes closed.
While assuring that the police was ready for the forthcoming polls, he also called on politicians to play by the rules and regulations.
