The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has been hit again by the defection of another member of the Edo State House of Assembly.
The Member representing Esan Central Constituency, Honourable Victor Edoror announced his defection from the PDP to the All Progressive Congress (APC) during plenary.
Addressing the House, the Honourable member stated that the time had come for him to honour the wish of his people by joining the ruling party in the state.
“I have been under immense pressure from my people in Esan Central to leave the sinking ship of the PDP and join the moving train. The performance of the present APC government is an indication that the party means well for Edo people hence my decision to finally join the party”
He used the opportunity to thank the Governor for the enormous projects executed in his constituency and urged him to do more.
Welcoming him to the party, the Speaker Honourable Uyi Igbe, assured the Honourable member that the decision to defect to the APC was one that he will not regret.
This latest defection takes the total number of APC members in the House to 20, while the PDP is left with 4.
