A former Governor of Abia State and Pillar of Sports, Dr. Orji Kalu, has congratulated Hon. Gbenga Elegbede on his appointment as the Director General, National Sports Commission.
In a statement by his Special Adviser, Oyekunle Oyewumi, he said the appointment of Elegbede was well deserved and timely.
He noted that sports is an important element in Nigeria because of it’s unifying factor for Nigerians irrespective of age, religion and sex.
He further stated that he is rest assured that the choice of Elegbede is strategic and will take sports to the next level.
He urged stakeholders in sports administration to give their unflinching support and commitment to him.
He also charged Hon. Elegbede to see his appointment as a call to service.
