The Secretary -General, Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI), Prof. Khalid  Abubakar, has commended the Director-General of  State Services (DGSS), Oluwatosin  Ajayi, for deeming it worthy to host the Muslim Ummah to a befitting breaking of fast ( Iftar).

Abubakar made the commendation in a statement issued to the News Agency of Nigeria(NAN), on Wednesday in Kaduna.

Abubakar underscored the significance of the secret Police boss’s action, saying that it would go a long way in promoting religious harmony.

The JNI scribe described Ajayi’s initiative  to unite the Muslims and Christians as historic.

He reckoned that, in spite of being the son of clergy, Ajayi had demonstrated an exceptional commitment to religious tolerance.

The don further extolled the invitation extended to the less-privileged to the feast, saying, ” I understand that Ajayi  traditionally does this and empowers them, this is commendable and should be emulated.”

He prayed for Allah’s wisdom to guide him in addressing the myriad of Nigeria’s security challenges.

Abubakar said the breaking of the fasting, held on Saturday,  brought together both Muslim and Christian leaders, alongside other indigents including those with special needs from across the Federal Capital Territory. (FCT).(NAN)
