Echocho loses out as Supreme Court upholds Wada’s victory

Meanwhile, Deputy Governor,Yomi Awoniyi has described the victory of Capt Idris Wada at the Supreme court as victory for the people of the state.

Awoniyi made the reaction after the Supreme Court had affirmed Capt Idris Wada as the rightful candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the December 2011 governorship election held in the state.

The Deputy Governor described the leadership of Capt Wada as one that means well for the state. He called on the people to join hands with him in building a virile Kogi State.

Awoniyi,described Wada as a leader and a father of the state who has embraced all irrespective of political or religious affiliation and said the Governor had since assumption as governor remained focus in providing gains of democracy to people of the state.

He further described Capt Wada’s victory as victory for all the people of the state and
called on those who may have lost to join hands with the present administration to
move the state forward.
Awoniyi commended the sincere commitment of Capt. Wada in piloting the affairs of the state,said the governor’s emergence which was an act of God,has made him selfless in the discharge of his duties to service to God and mankind.
