Dr. Hassan Gimba Ahmed is a renowned Nigerian journalist, writer, public commentator, and media consultant. Born on April 9, 1964, in Kaduna, Nigeria, he serves as the Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of Neptune Prime, an online newspaper that offers content in both English and Hausa. Dr. Gimba’s impressive career includes stints as an editor at Leadership Friday Newspaper, Assistant Managing Editor of Leadership Newspaper, and spokesperson for Nigeria’s Minister of Science and Technology.
Dr. Gimba has written over 500 articles and published two volumes of his book, “The Arbiter,” a collection of essays.

- Sir Ahmadu Bello Northern Youth Council of Nigeria (ABYCN) Award of excellence as Icon of Integrity and Humanitarian Service of the year 2021. Dr. Gimba founded the Lami Fatima Babare Cervical Cancer Foundation and Clinic in Potiskum, Yobe State, to raise awareness and provide free treatment for cervical cancer to at-risk women. His foundation also supports vocational training programs and constructed the Hafsatu Gimba Ahmed Memorial School in Potiskum, providing modern educational facilities.
