Kogi State Governor Capt Idris Wada has reacted furiously to insinuations by the opposition Action Congress of Nigeria,ACN that he is not in charge of affairs in the state.Firing a  direct shot  at ACN ,the governor in a statement today by Jacob Edi ,his special adviser, media and strategy  said “It is unfortunate that the ACN has turned itself into an incurable critic even when there is nothing to criticize.  Perhaps they now do it for fun.  For the avoidance of doubt, Capt. Wada is fully in charge  of the affairs of the state.

“It is worthy of note that Capt. Wada does not take instructions from the former governor or anybody for that matter.  Wada is his own man and has a clear idea of how he wants to  discharge his duties as governor of kogi state.

Wada noted earlier in the  that “It is totally uncharitable for anybody to even remotely infer that Capt. Idris Wada is not in charge of Kogi state as governor.  He is completely in charge as the chief security officer of the state and he will be so in the next four years in the first instance.

It is totally uncharitable for any body to even remotely infer that Capt. Idris Wada is not in charge of Kogi state as governor.  He is completely in charge as the chief security officer of the state and he will be so in the next four years in the first instance.

It is unfortunate that the ACN has turned itself into an incurable critic even when there is nothing to criticize.  Perhaps they now do it for fun.  For the avoidance of doubt, Capt. Wada is fully in charge  of the affairs of the state.

It is worthy of note that Capt. Wada does not take instructions from the former governor or anybody for that matter.  Wada is his own man and has a clear idea of how he wants to  discharge his duties as governor of kogi state.

It is important to put on record that His Excellency, Capt. Wada cannot be stampeded by the inordinate and wild desires of the ACN to do things their own way and thereby please the ACN alone, rather his major preoccupation for now is to move Kogi state to the next level. This is he doing methodically.

The continued stay in office of the former political appointees under former governor Ibrahim Idris, is not only deliberate but has the approval of the state assembly. The whole essence is to aid a smooth process of transition. The old exco will soon be dissolved.

For the benefit of doubt, Capt. Wada’s emergence is not controversial in any material particular.  He went through a due process of election before he emerged as the governor of the state with INEC’s certificate of return.

The ACN is hereby advised to direct its energy into productive use rather than themisleading, malicious and wicked comments it calls criticism.

Signed.
