The Kogi State Governor, Capt. Idris Ichalla Wada has reiterated that restriction of movement earlier imposed in parts of the Central Senatorial district is still in force.

A press release signed by Jacob Edi, special adviser to the governor on  media and strategy  said this has become necessary in the light of an isolated murder of a community leader Mallam Jaguda Muhammed alongside his son, reportedly masterminded by unknown gunmen.

Governor Wada while reacting to the ugly incident appealed to all citizens of the state especially those resident in Okene, to remain calm and go about their normal duties without fear or molestation as government is on top of the situation. To this the end, the government has directed the police and other security agencies to fish out the perpetrators. He added that this level of inhuman criminality will no longer be tolerated in the Central senatorial district or any part of the state for that matter.

The government has further directed  that the earlier restriction placed on commercial motorcyclists popularly called Okada Riders from 7pm to 6am remains in place and will be strictly enforced.
