#TrackNigeria: Some electorates in Igabi Local Government Area, Kaduna State on Saturday commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) over early arrival of voting material and commencement of voting.
The voters told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that the exercise began on time and was a marked departure from the delays experienced during the presidential and National Assembly elections on Feb. 23.
One of the voters in Rigasa, Muhammadu Adam said the INEC officials arrived the polling units early and voting commenced immediately.
“We thank God for the grace of life, for giving us long life to see this day; indeed the stress of waiting for long without voting has been drastically reduced”, he said.
Another voter, Sa’adatu Abubakar said there was no hitches recorded as the card reader at her polling units were very effective and voting started at 8:00 am sharp.
On his part, Malam Attahiru Fada, stated that the election was peaceful, fast and hitch free, and was able to cast his vote on time.
He prayed for God to guide the electorates in choosing good leaders who would prioritise the interest of the people.
Also, an elderly voter, Bala Isah noted that the electoral commission has improved greatly in its deployment of materials and the operation of card reader machines, thus making the election to be fast and seamless.
NAN reports that election materials arrived early at most polling units in Rigasa Registration Area of the local government with voting starting by 8:00 am amidst high turn out of voters.(NAN)
