Visually impaired man lauds voting process in Apapa

A visually impaired man, Mr Ibrahim Abudulahi, who was the first person to cast his vote at Ward 03 polling unit, at Ashati Barrack, Apapa Local Government, on Saturday praised smooth conduct of elections.Abudulahi who was born blind, told NAN that he was participating in the elections because of his passion for the country.

“In spite of my condition, I’m still thankful for the life and my passion for the country is what made me to exercise my civic right.“I am glad with the way everything is going as the voting was smooth and there were no hitches at all.

“I would also participate in the forthcoming gubernatorial elections cause is my own way of ensuring that the country grows to greater heights’’ he said.The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that accreditation and voting commenced at 9.11 a. m.NAN also observed a large turnout of voters who were properly cordinated and follow the queue.As of the time of this report, there were no hitches as the card readers functioned properly.
