Unknown Gunmen Kill 21 In Southern Kaduna

Unknown gunmen have killed 21 people in Fadan Karshi village of Sanga Local Government area of Kaduna State.
It was gathered that the gunmen attacked the area on Monday and it lasted till Tuesday morning as villagers were said to have abandoned their houses and ran to nearby villages
It was gathered that the attack affected Ankpon village in Nandu district and Kabamu village in Fadan Karshi all of Numana Chiefdom of the local government area.
Speaking on the incident ,Chairman of the local government, Mr Emmanuel Adamu described it as unfortunate.
According to him, the victims of the attack include women and children.He said 21 people were killed in Fadan Kashi while 17 were wounded in Nandu villages. He called for calm from the people of the area.
But the figure was refuted by the State Police Command as they claimed the figure was not up to that.
State Police Command public Relations Officer SP Aminu Lawan denied the number of people said to have been killed during the attack.
” I am not aware of any incident in Sanga where such a number of People were killed,” he said
The state governor in a statement signed by his Director General Media and publicity, Ahmed Maiyaki described the act as a ‘provocative attempt by some unpatriotic people to cause confusion and unrest in the area’.
Governor Ramalan Yero condoled with families of victims of the unwarranted attack on innocent citizens in the area as he called for calm.
