Troops kill 2 bandits in Kaduna

of Thunder Strike killed two bandits during a night ambush along the Gwagwada-Chikun Road in Chikun Local Government Area of State.

Mr Samuel Aruwan, Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, confirmed this in a statement issued on Saturday.

Aruwan said: “According operational feedback, the set an opportunity ambush along the route in anticipation of bandits’ movement.

“The bandits approached on two motorcycles, and on springing the ambush, returned fire in an attempt charge through.

“They were however overwhelmed, and two bandits were neutralized by the , while the others retreated with gunshot wounds.

He disclosed that after the , motorcycle, locally made rifle, a phone and some wraps of Indian Hemp were from the scene along with the corpses of the bandits.

The commissioner said Gov. Nasir El-Rufai congratulated the troops for the successful , while praising their pro-active disposition.
