The top priorities of the Hon. Henry Seriake Dickson-led administration in Bayelsa state got another boost this week with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with a Japanese firm named Huawei Technologies, for the provision of high-tech security apparatus to the Bayelsa state government.
Hon. Dickson has never minced words about how he intends to make life safe, secure and more abundant for the average Bayelsa man and woman during his tenure as governor of the oil-bearing state. A safe and secure environment he argued will bring about investors from within and outside the area, including Direct Foreign Investment which will generate employment for the youth who are being educated systematically.
Another plank in his agenda is the long abandoned Melford Okilo Memorial Hospital, which he has revived and has been explaining how he will ensure its
prompt completion. This, he said, is part of his promise to give the citizens of the state adequate Healthcare delivery.
