Tell us why you sacked Oghiadomhe-CNPP challenges Jonathan

osita-okechukwu-cnppThe Conference of Nigerian Political Parties {CNPP} has said it was not bothered whether the exit of Chief of Staff to President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, Chief Mike Oghiadomhe came through a sack or resignation. “Our agony is the grave harm his inglorious seven years in the presidency caused our fledgling democracy and our dear country”Osita Okechukwu,CNPP spokesman said in a statement.

Eevn more, Okechukwu challenged President Jonathan to reveal the real reason why Oghiadomhe was sacked. “We are amused with the lame excuse dished out by Mr President’s spin doctors on the reasons for the exit of Chief Oghiadomhe and therefore challenge President Jonathan to open up to Nigerians and come clean with the malfeasance surrounding his exit” he said.

He asked “The question is what is the extent of Chief Oghiadomhe’s involvement in the NNPC’s scam in which we earlier called for open and independent inquiry?

“Or can Nigerians in all honesty, pardon and re-elect Mr President for his inability to discern the bad characters he surrounds himself with?

CNPP asserted that President Jonathan cannot absolve himself from the malfeasance and less than transparent conduct of Chief Oghiadomhe, which has become the metaphor of his regime.

He said it was disheartening that it took President Jonathan seven years to comprehend, figure out and pencil the character of the person he appointed as Chief of Staff, in fact the engine room of his administration.

“Four years ago, when President Jonathan became president following the demise of President Umaru Musa Yaradua; a lot of people counseled the drop of Chief Oghiadomhe, because of his arrogance, greed and indiscipline”Okechukwu said.

“As President Jonathan muddled from one issue to the other, rumour took over the political landscape that his clueless, inept and corrupt administration may be traced to the Chief of Staff, who mounts toll-gate to even foreign investors”,he added.

Presidential spokesman ,Reuben Abati said yesterday that the president’s chief of staff resigned to further his political interest. He debunked speculations about any fraud whatsoever.
