Tambuwal wins own LG with 42,830 votes

TrackNigeria: The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto has won own local government.

Announcing the results at the State Collation Centre for Gubernatorial election, the Returning Officer of the local government, Prof. Bello Zaki Abubakar said while Tambuwal scored a total of 42,830, his opponent of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Ahmed Aliyu scored 29,081 votes.

Tambuwal beat Aliyu with votes difference of 13,749.
