Senate resumes, adjourns over death of Rep

The Senate resumed after Christmas and we Year recess Tuesday and adjourned till Wednesday in honour of late lawmaker, Ossy Prestige, (Abia North).
Leader of the Senate, Yahaya Abdullahi moved the motion for adjournment after the President of the Senate, Ahmed Lawan read his address of welcome to members.
The Minority Leader, Enyinnaya Abaribe seconded the motion for adjournment of plenary, as he informed his colleagues that the late member was from his state.
Hon Ossy Prestige died after a protracted illness in Germany.
He was elected on the platform of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA).
The late Mr Prestige is the third member of the House that has passed on in the Ninth Assembly
The two others who passed on before him are Jaafaru Illiyasu and Mohammed Faggen-Gawo.
A minute silence was observed in honour of the late member.
