The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Rivers State Chapter, says it is satisfied with the leadership ability of the Supervising Minister for Education, Barr. Ezebunwo Nyesom Wike, and would therefore not hesitate to continue to offer him the undaunted support and cooperation he deserves to encourage him succeed in his concerted quest to liberate the people of the State from neo-colonialism and a totalitarian regime.
Chief Nyesom Wike ,the Party said has convincingly demonstrated his love,commitment and passion for the empowerment and development of the people of the State, describing his development efforts while serving the state as laudable and monumental achievement not easy to surpass.
Rivers PDP in a Statement issued today in Port Harcourt by Jerry Needam, Special Adviser on Media to the State Chairman of the Party, said “as a Minister of State for Education, Chief Wike did not only distinguish himself as a competent public servant but proved his worth by bringing laudable development initiatives to the sector, a feat the Party believes qualifies him to be made a substantive Minister.”
The Party said even in the face of some distractions and opposition, particularly from some politicians in the State, the Minister has continued to brave the odds, making some giant strides in addressing the yearning and development needs of people of the grassroots, especially with the coming in to being of the Grassroots Development Initiative, GDI, with presence in all the units and Wards in the 23 Local Government Areas of the State.
“It is therefore in recognition of the pragmatic and purposeful leadership Chief Nyesom Wike has offered to the Party in the State and the nation, and is poised not to relent that we strongly and proudly declare our unflinching confidence, acceptance and support for him”, the Party stressed.
