#TrackNigeria: The media team of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Kaduna Central Senatorial candidate, Lawal Adamu Usman has denied reports that Uba Sani, the APC candidate has a comfortable lead in Saturday’s presidential and national assembly elections.

Last night, certain online portals reported that Sani was winning in all the seven local government areas that make up the Kaduna Central District.

But the head of the media team, Abdul-Azeez Suleiman in a swift reaction in a statement made available to Newsdiaryonline Sunday described the claim as desperate fabrication, misleading and a clumsy attempt at misinformation.

“It is disappointing that the ruling party in the state would exhibit such uncouthed level of desperation as to claim victory before collation of results were concluded.

“It is also alarming as it goes to show the way the mind of the APC is working. This calls for vigilance on the part of the other parties, particularly the PDP, being the major contender.

“We urge the public to disregard such reports and to be patient while the results are being collated and authenticated. We also call on our supporters not to be provoked into unnecessary controversies borne out of desperation.

“Our supporters are also enjoined to maintain the decent calm they have shown so far and not to participate in the current wave of circulation of fake unauthenticated and unauthorized results.

“For the avoidance of doubt, Mr LA has never seen the contest and indeed politics generally, as a matter of life and death.

“He strongly believes that power belongs to God and He gives it to whomever He wills at the time He wills,” the statement read.
