PDP celebrates Makinde at 53

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has felicitated the Governor of Oyo State, Mr Seyi Makinde, on the occasion of his 53th birthday.

The party, in a statement issued by its National Publicity Secretary, Mr Kola Ologbondiyan, on Friday in Abuja, described Makinde as an exceptionally-ingenious administrator.

Ologbondiyan said that Makinde’s unwavering commitment to the pursuit of his people’s welfare, in line with the party’s manifesto, had raised the bar of governance in the country.

“Gov. Makinde has distinguished himself as an extraordinary personality, good hearted individual and an excellent manager of resources.

“His sacrifices for the good of his people is a clear demonstration that the true essence of statesmanship lies in utilising its exceptional opportunities for the benefit of others, rather than self,” he said.

Ologbondiyan said that the party was proud of Makinde’s efforts at elevating the living standard of his people.

He added that PDP was proud of his “resounding achievements” in infrastructural development and other critical sectors, such as education, healthcare, transportation, agriculture and water resources, among others.

The party’s spokesperson said that the governor had also shown himself as a very loyal party man, who had continued to make personal sacrifices for the development of PDP.

He prayed God to continue to grant him good health, more wisdom and many more years for his state, the PDP, Nigeria and humanity at large to continue to benefit from his wealth of experience and patriotism. (NAN)
