Governor Theodore Orji of Abia State has issued a response to an allegation by ex Governor Orji Kalu that .Abia state governor who spoke through his chief press secretary Mr.Ugochukwu Emezue h described as laughable allegation by former governor of the state, Orji Uzor Kalu that chief TA Orji is planning the printing and pasting of Kalu’s presidential posters.
Emezue in a statement in Umuahia said that the Abia state government cannot waste the scarce resources that are being used to build legacy projects to print such posters.
The governor’s spokesman hinted that Kalu’s antics are well known .He also described the ex governor as a “political leper.”
According to Emezue, the former governor who is a desperate man is capable of doing anything to seek relevance and sympathy.
Political watchers recall that Kalu had fought stridently to have the incumbent succeed him after Orji ,the erstwhile chief of staff to Kalu the had been detained by the Olusegun Obasanjo regime on alleged corruption issues.
The unfolding brick-bat between Kalu and his successor is one of the most intriguing stories of Nigeria’s recent democracy.
