Former head of the Interim National Government, Chief Ernest Shonekan and former president ,Chief Olusegun Obasanjo will on Friday, March 30, 2012 join other key players in the Nigerian State to present the book titled “The Nigerian Financial System” to the public.
The presentation of the book authored by the past president, Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, Late Ebenezer Folorunso Oke is planned to coincide with his birthday.
According to a statement by the wife of the late accountant, Mrs. Ronke Oke, the late accountant would have wished to celebrate his colleagues, students and associates who share his vision of excellence, particularly those who have added value to the polity through integrity and hard work.
Continuing, she said “ About a year ago, precisely November 29, 2010, my husband passed on to glory. Before then, he finished writing a book titled “ The Nigerian Financial System” In honour of him and the work which he had passionately and with dedication given time to write, the book has been published posthumously”.
The book presentation has Governor Ibrahim Hassan Dankwabo of Gombe State as chief presenter.
The event, billed for the Agip Hall of Muson Centre, Onikan at 11:00am, has the doyen of the accounting profession, Mr Akintola Williams as the special guest of honour while founding managing director, Guaranty Trust Bank PLC, Mr. Fola Adeola is the book reviewer.
Prince Bola Ajibola, is expected to chair the occasion.
