Olugbenga Ogunbote, Rangers Technical Adviser says the club will play Wikki Tourist to win in the last match of the ongoing Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
Rangers International Football Club of Enugu will on Sunday battle Wiki Tourist of Bauchi in the last match of their group A of the NPFL in Bauchi.
Ogunbute disclosed this to News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Enugu on Friday saying that the club had its integrity at stake in the match.
”We are going to approach the match like any other game and thank God we have qualified for the super six.
”The players have to play to be cautious in the match but that does not mean we are not going to play to win.
”Football is all about present and even if Rangers have 100 percent record against them it does not count. If we could not come out of the match with our heads high,” he said.
He noted that the club is going to Bauchi to represent the entire state and that success was required to satisfy the fans.
Ogunbote said that he would give other players chance to prove themselves noting that any player in Rangers had something to offer.
”I have been giving all the players chance and against Rivers we have lots of new faces and we will continue to do that.
”We want to give maximum rest to the injured players until they are back and better.
”You can take a horse to the stream but cannot force the horse to drink so if a player is injured, there is nothing you can do.
”Rangers have the Aiteo cup coming up and do not forget we are the defending champions; giving other players chance will put them in good shape,” the coach said.
He said that the technical crew was its best to get a good team that would confidently represent the club at the Aiteo cup as they defended it.
Speaking on the pairing against Niger Tornadoes Feeders, the coach said that the club must scale the hurdle as they did last year.
”By Gods grace, we will still scale the hurdle of Niger Tornadoes Feeders because we remembered how difficult it was against them last year.
”Besides, every coach and players want to beat Rangers and Tornadoes Feeders will put all their efforts in the match. (NAN)
