Nigerian Army, Police Synergise to Fight Crime in Akwa-Ibom


The Commander 2 Brigade Nigerian Army, Brigadier General Ibrahim Abdu Hassan paid a courtesy call on the Commissioner of Police Akwa Ibom State Command CP Don Awunah, on 18th April 2017.

In his remarks, the Brigadier General pledged the readiness of the Brigade to collaborate with the Police in the fight against Crime and Criminality in the state.

In his response CP Don Awunah stated that the hallmark of internal security is inter-agency collaboration.

He further assured the Brigadier General that as a lead agency in internal security, the Police will always partner with Nigerian Army to achieve national growth in the area of law Enforcement and Crime prevention.

CP Don Awunah further assured the members of the Public that the command has put in place a well intelligent team and also activated all the tactical teams in effort to reduce crime in the state.

He therefore, implored law abiding citizens to co-operate with the Police and provide necessary information.
