NACTAL, Roost foundation, collaborate to fight human trafficking, SGBV

The Network of Civil Society Organisations Against Child Trafficking, and Labour (NACTAL) and the Roost Foundation have both firmed- a partnership to wage war against human trafficking.

This was announced in a statement signed by Martha Adegbe, of Administration at the Roost Foundation, and made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja, on Friday.

The statement said that both organisations also agreed to fight Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) together under the partnership, following a familiarisation visit by a NACTAL delegation to the offices of the Roost Foundation, in Abuja.

The NACTAL delegation, led by its national president, Comrade Abdulganiyu Abubakar, was received by the Executive Chairperson of the Roost Foundation, Mrs Julie Okah-Donli.

The statement quoted Abubakar as saying that their visit aimed to seek for partnership and collaboration, resource mobilization as well as repositioning NACTAL for effective coordination.

He said that the coordination was necessary for members of the civil society organisation, which is focused on Trafficking in and Smuggling of Migrants (TIPSOM).

Okah-Donli, in response, reiterated her organisation’s to partner with NACTAL, as well as other credible organizations, to contribute meaningfully and provide prompt responses to TIPSOM.
