The new National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Ahmed Adamu Muazu has already made enormous progress in uniting the party within his short period he has spent at its helm of affairs.
The FCT Minister, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed stated this while responding to questions from journalists after a civic reception organized in honour of the new national chairman by the PDP North East Zone on Saturday in Bauchi.
The minister reiterated that the new National Chairman has already set the ball rolling by creating the desired impact in re-building the PDP, especially by reconciling all aggrieved members.
According to him, the spirit of reconciliation is already flaring and penetrating all the nooks and crannies of the Party, which is a wonderful development.
Senator Mohammed specifically pointed out how the new National Chairman has reached out to former presidents, aggrieved governors and all the others, which he noted is a clear indication that good days are ahead for the Party.
He emphasized that the emergence Alhaji Muazu who he described as a bridge builder, has “rekindled hope; refreshed our stamina in politics and built inter-relationships across board, irrespective of our personal interests, desires and differences”.
The Minister stressed, “We, the people of Bauchi State have buried all our personal interests and will work for his success because if he succeeds, we have all succeeded but if he fails, we have all failed”.
He thus, called for understanding and cooperation of all stakeholders to take the party to the next level, thereby assisting the leader of the Party, President Goodluck Jonathan transform the country.
