Kwara State Governor, Abdulfatah Ahmed has dissolved the state’s executive council.The Secretary to Kwara State Government, Alhaji Isiaka Gold who briefed the press after a cabinet meeting Wednesday in Ilorin said all special advisers and assistants were also affected by the dissolution.
The SSG said “As you aware, governance is a dynamic process that requires constant review and deployment of resources accordingly. In view of this, the Executive Governor of Kwara State and Chairman of the State Executive Council, today dissolved the Executive Council with immediate effect. This dissolution extends to all Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants, and Special Assistants who are also relieved of their appointments.
“Governor Ahmed directed all commissioners to hand over their ministries to their respective permanent secretaries.
“His Excellency, The Executive Governor, Alh. Abdulfatah Ahmed thanked all former commissioners, special advisers, senior special assistants, and special assistants for their service to the state and wished them best of luck in their future endeavors. He further appealed to them to continue to support the state government in their future capacities.
“Responding on behalf of the former members of the Executive Council, Alhaji Saka Onimago thanked His Excellency, The Executive Governor, Alh. Abdulfatah Ahmed for the opportunity to serve the people of Kwara State and promised the continued allegiance of all his colleagues to the government and people of Kwara State.
