As Kogi Gov ruling looms,PDP chieftain hails Role of judiciary

An indigene of Kogi State and Member of PDP , Alhaji Abubakar Rajab has described judiciary arm as a strong pillar for the sustainability of democracy in Nigeria.

Rajab who said this while examining judiciary in Nigeria, said it have been playing prominent role towards ensuring the durability of democracy in the country.

“To tell you the truth, judiciary is playing prominent role in the existence and durability of our democracy, through ensuring professionalism, fairness and equity in the courts, that is why we are appreciating them”, the PDP Chieftain said.

Rajab said “Now that the case between Governor Idris Wada and Jibrin Isah Echocho has been slated for final judgment on the February 21, 2014 at the Supreme Court on who is the real PDP candidate, the People of Kogi State are waiting patiently for justice and fairness”.

He commended Nigerian government for ensuring the independence of judicial arm, saying that this gesture has helped towards achieving success in the judiciary.

Rajab also attributed the efficiency of Nigerian judiciary to the sincerity of the Judges as well as training and retaining of the judicial staff among others.

He called on Nigerians irrespective of tribe, religion or political differences to live with one another peacefully and that they should shun any form of violence or crisis to enable Nigeria continue to remain as one nation .
