The approval came at the heel of reorganization going on now in the club. Jimmy, the former goalkeeper of Himma FC of Zaria which once represented YSFON in an international football competition told the management of Kaduna United that he accepted the appointment and is ready to cooperate with each person in the club.
Meanwhile, in order to fulfill some requirements of the League Management Committee (LMC), the management of Kaduna United FC have signed 25 playersto execute the first few matches of this year’s Premier League.
Addressing the players today after their morning session training, General Manager of the team, Garba Lawal said the requirement has to be met to enable the team feature some of the players registered for the competition.
He, however stressed that the team would sign 35 players for this year’s league season and asked those players that are not registered for now to exercise a little patience.
Speaking in the same vein, Coach Ben Daumlong pleaded with the players to be patience as they would be part of the team, saying that some logistics would be addressed to ensure their registrations.
In another development, the commissioner has approved the appointment of Musa Adamu as the Assistant Team Manager of Team B of Kaduna United. Adamu played for Zabtex FC of Jos and was part of the management team of Pleatue United, JUDTH of Jos and Yobe Desert FC of Damaturu.
..Sacks Media Officer
The appointment of former Media Officer of Kaduna United FC, Suleiman Mohammed has been terminated. The state Commissioner of Sports, Alhaji Bashir Zubairu endorsed the termination of his appointment yesterday after painstakingly viewed the negative activities of the officer toward its present reorganization.
The termination letter which was signed by the Deputy Director of Sports in the state Ministry of Sports, Mr. Elisha S. Yashim on behalf of the commissioner read thus: “with reference to letter given to you as Media Officer of Kaduna United FC haven been found wanting in discharging your duties, your appointment has been terminated with immediate effect.”
It would be recalled that Uba Ibrahim was recently appointed as the new Media officer of Kaduna United during an ongoing reorganization in the club.
..Pledges to settle backlog of players’ salaries
Players of Kaduna United FC who are warming up for the 2014 Premier League have been promised that their backlog of salary arrears would soon be settled by the Technical Committee inaugurated by the Kaduna State Commissioner of Sports, Alhaji Bashir Zubairu last Monday in Kaduna.
Addressing the players after the morning session training yesterday at Murtala Square, Kaduna, former FIFA referee Alex Mana told them that their committee was aware about the non-payment of the backlog of salary arrears due to them.
Mana who spoke on behalf of the Sports Commissioner who was away to Abuja for official assignment said, “We are assuring you that your problems would soon be solved; some of them immediately and some of them gradually.
“I want you to take away your minds from many things that would hinder your performance when the league finally starts next week and concentrate very well to give your very best.”
Mana, a lecturer at the National Institute of Sport (NIS) led a 5-man technical committee members to the training ground of the Crocodile club including Garba Lawal (MON), Dr, Ben Omale (chairman, Finance Committee), Adamu Jibril (member) and Elisha Yashim (deputy director of sports) in the sports ministry.
He also told the players that members of the committee who visited them for the first time since the commencement of their training preparatory to 2014 Premier League is made up of a solid people who are ready to give their best to the club out of their tight schedules, “including myself who stays in Lagos. I will always be here to ensure that things run smoothly,” Mana stressed.
Speaking also at the training pitch of Kaduna United, chairman of the Finance Committee, Dr. Ben Omale assured the players that as soon as the Kaduna state’s 2014 budget is passed all their financial challenges would be settled, but added that in the interim some of their financial problems would be taken care of before they go into the league.
He said that their committee was mandated to structure Kaduna United administratively, assuring that business would not be as usual but done in a proper way.
