Kaduna awards scholarship to 40 indigenes for aviation studies

Kaduna State Government today, awarded scholarship to 40 indigenes to study standard pilot and other aviation related courses at the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology Zaria.

Speaking at the exercise which was held at the State House Kawo-Kaduna, the State Commissioner of Science and Technology, Mr. David Chatjok said the scholarship is part of the government efforts to ensure a balance educational development especially in aviation sector.

According to him all those given the scholarship were genuine indigenes of Kaduna State.

In his speech, the Governor of Kaduna State, Alhaji Mukhtar Ramalan Yero advised the students to make good use of the opportunity given to them through putting in their best in the school.

The Governor said his administration would continue to assist them to enable them perform creditably in the college considering the importance aviation sector.

He also advised the students to shun cultism and other anti-social act, capable of causing set back to their studies, instead they should be good ambassadors of the state in the school.
