Intelligence officers of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, (NSCDC) Jigawa state branch have arrested three people who specialize in hard drugs businesses.
The three : Babandi Ibrahim (48yrs), Aminu Ismail a (26 year old), and Abdullahi Umar of 26 years all based at Zango quarters in Gumel local government area of Jigawa state are being accused of specializing in Indian Hemp sale and distribution among other narcotics.
Furthermore, all the three suspects were arrested in Gumel after series of raids by officers of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, (NSCDC).A statement issued and signed by the (NCSC) Jigawa state Commandant, Muhammad Gidado and made available to the press in Dutse indicated that all the accused persons were shortlisted by the command as
It added that they have been monitored closely by intelligence officers of the corps since last August, after they were shortlisted under people with suspicious character. After thorough investigations, by both the police and officers of the (NSCDC) all the suspects have confessed to the crime and will soon be handed over to the Jigawa command of (NDLEA) for further interrogations upon which, if found guilty of offence, they will be
charged to court for prosecution
