Imo Concerned Citizens pay courtesy visit to SDGs office



Imo concerned citizens paid a courtesy visit to the special adviser on SDGs and humanitarian services, Princess Christina Ude, along with their management team at the SDGs office, in Owerri the state capital to discuss partnership and opportunities. The team was led by the convener, Divine Chike.

Mrs Ude thanked the convener Chike and the state chairman for stretching out the hands of collaboration and partnership. “On behalf of SDGs Imo State and Humanitarian Services, I commit to ensure that we build a relationship and partner positively,” she added.

According to the convener,  the Imo Concerned Citizens are particularly happy with the efforts and progress being made to expand the Social register in Imo state. “We appreciate the noteworthy impact of the conditional cash transfer in the 9 local governments so far towards alleviating poverty.”

The Convener went on to mention two main purports of the meeting: A Strategic partnership by the nonpartisan organization in the establishment of volunteers in rural areas for the SDGs office; To ensure some of the Sustainable Development Goals are implemented and solving various challenges the SDG office may encounter.

Mrs. Ude assured the ICCs chairman and his team that the partnership is a welcome development and noted that her office is looking forward to collaborate with ICC to deliver on SDG projects. She said, “as a stronger partnership will help build an inclusive, grass-root outreach and a prosperous Imo state that would be the envy of other States.”
