Rivers state chapter of TUC has raised alarm over an attack on its yahoo email account by hackers.A statement today said the council “just received information that some fraudsters have hacked into TUC Rivers State Yahoo email– [email protected], and are using the email to send mails soliciting for funds from unsuspecting members of the public and alleging that our state chairman, Comrade Chika Onuegbu JP is stranded in the UK.
TUC urged whoever has been so contacted not to respond to such email. “Please do not respond to any such email as they are NOT from TUC Rivers State. Moreover Comrade Chika Onuegbu did not travel to any UK, he is here in Rivers State”,the statement said .
