Gov Murtala Nyako of Adamawa has approved the suspension of four government officials over alleged fraud in the state Post Primary School Management Board.
A statement signed by the the Permanent Secretary Administration, Mallam Mohammed Sa’ad, listed the affected officers as Dahiru Gomina and Garba Kayari of e-payment department of the state Accountant General office as well as Dauda Ali and Elam Sule of the Post Primary School Management Board.
The statement also announced the replacement of the Executive Secretary of the Post Primary School Board, Mallam Ayuba Njidda with Mrs Bilkisu Khalid while the removed secretary was directed to be re-assigned by the Ministry of Education.
“Following the recommendation of the committee on on investigation of fraud in the salary payroll of Adamawa state post primary school management board, His Excellency Murtala Nyako, has approved the suspension of Dahiru Gomina, Garba Kayari , Dauda Audu and Elam Sule.
“The above mentioned officers remain suspended until investigations are concluded.
“Meanwhile. Bilkisu Khalid has been appointed as the Executive Secretary Post Primary Schools Management Board, Yola while the former Executive Secretary is to be re-assigned by the state Ministry of Education”, the statement said.
