FCTA to produce White Paper on Kwali Chieftancy tussle

Minister of State for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Administration Olajumoke Akinjide has said the Administration will present a White Paper for implementation of the 15-man committee report on the Kwali Area Council chieftancy crises within the next one month.
The minister said this when she received the report from committee led by its Chairman, Sen. Phillip Aduda at her office in Abuja.
Akinjide said she is confident in the work done by the experienced team and task them to be on a standby as their experience would be needed for further advocacy at the implementation stage for success and fulfilment of the campaign promise made to the people of Kwali to peacefully resolve the matter.
According to her the report which is the sixth presented to the Administration on the matter since it started seven years ago would be the first to be implemented especially as it was part of the campaign promises to the Kwali Area Councils prior to the March 16 elections 2013.
“It is a promise on the part of the FCT, the report will be studied carefully for implementation. Your work is not yet finished because this is a community crisis, we need your continued advocacy so that we can ‘ve the proper context. We are calling on you to help us with the advocacy while we are implementing this report both at the highest level and the grass root.
“Carry everybody along son that people will see the underlined thinking of this recommendation that you have made.” Akinjide stated.
On his part, the Chairman of the committee, Sen. Phillip Aduda said the committee worked for over 5 months because they’re focused on dishing out solution based report that would resolve the crisis in Kwali as well as promote peace in the FCT.
He said all interest parties were communicated and reached even they carefully studied past report for better engagement of all stakeholders in the cause of the assignment.
Members of the committee who attended the presentation ceremony, are Committee chairman, Sen. Philip Aduda, Sen. Jibrin Wowo, One of Abaji (HRH) Adamu Yunusa among others.
