The FCT Permanent Secretary, Engr. John O. Chukwu, fnse, on behalf of himself and the Public Servants working under of the FCT Administration has commiserated with the FCT Minister, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, CON, over the death of his elder brother, Mallam Yusuf Mohammed Baba who was the District Head of Duguri, Bauchi State on Friday at the age of 80.
The Permanent Secretary described the death of the late consummate Public Servant cum Traditional Ruler as shocking and monumental loss to the nation, particularly Duguri District, Bauchi State. Engr. Chukwu expressed the condolences of the entire workforce of the FCT Administration to the immediate family including Senator Bala Mohammed, the people of Duguri District and Bauchi State as a whole.
He reiterated that the nation would miss the qualitative but selfless services of this former Secretary to the Government of Bauchi State (SSG) who continued to serve his people at different capacities until his death.
He prayed to Almighty Allah that his gentle soul rest in perfect peace as well as the immediate family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
It may be noted that Mallam Baba who was a veteran teacher and bureaucrat during his rich public service career, taught and served as Principal of many notable colleges such as Government Secondary Schools in Azare, Bauchi State, Funtua in Katsina State, Yarwa, Maiduguri in Borno State, Potiskum in Yobe State before ascending the throne of his ancestors.
The Late Mallam Baba was a holder of Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics (1965) from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He was also the pioneer Registrar of the Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi.
Meanwhile, the FCT Permanent, Engr. Chukwu in company of the Head of Service of the Federation, Alhaji Bukar Aji were among the first callers in Duguri, Bauchi State to personally pay condolence on the FCT Minister.
