FCT Minister debunks report of First Lady’s illness

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Sen. Bala Mohammed has dismissed media reports alleging that the First Lady is sick, saying “Patience Jonathan dey Kampe”.
The Minister said this Sunday when he received the First lady who visited him to condole with him and his family over the loss of his elder brother ,Yusuf Baba Mohammed.

He said the First lady’s visit was indeed a great source of consolation to his family and demonstrated her humility and humane nature which many close and far from her have experienced even as he thanked her.
“Your visit has indeed made us proud, happy and consoled that he has trained us up and gave us the exposure that has made us enjoy the consolation of your caliber and pedigree” Bala told the First Lady.
The Minister said the social media report of the First lady’s alleged treatment in a German hospital is fuelled only by mischief and prayed that God should quash the evil thoughts towards the first family.
Sitting close to First Lady, the minister said “I read about your person in the media recently that you are sick, by the grace of God you will not be sick. Our mother cannot be sick. She is here resplendent, she is here beautiful. Standing tall above all mischief and you will continue to give us guidance and make us happy by the grace of God.
“Your support to your husband, nation especially the vulnerable in the community of the women folk the work you have done will attest to your contribution to the lives of the people.
“For those people who are Judases, who’re always insinuating, who are always thinking that such thing should happen to you, definitely they have forgotten that, they are not God. They have forgotten that everybody is flesh and blood.” Bala stated.
Earlier in her visit, the first lady described the deceased, Mallam Yusuf Baba who died recently as quintessential public servant who has contributed to the nation and his home state even as a former Secretary to the Bauchi State Government.
Patience said though the family will miss the man who played the role of a father, she urged them to take solace in God who knows best and remains unquestionable comforter to the family.
