Bauchi State Command of Nigeria Police Force has announced the arrest of four suspects in connection with the bomb blast in Azare on Friday. “Four Suspects have been arrested in connection to the incident and they are assisting the police with useful information that could aid investigation” the police said.
The Police Command said a female suicide bomber detonated an Improved Explosive Device at First Bank premises in Azare Town, Bauchi State which killed seven persons while Other 10 persons were injured . DSP Haruna Mohammed State Police Public Relations noted that at about 10:05 am there was a bomb explosion suspected to have carried out by a female suicide bomber at First Bank premises in Azare Town, Bauchi State.
The Bauchi Police Spokeaman said in a statement “the scene of incident was visited by the Commissioner of Police for an on the spot assessment and to commensurate with casualties.”
“So far,seven persons were confirmed dead, while ten others who sustained various degrees of injuries have been rushed to Federal Medical Center Azare for medical attention out of which five were treated and discharged” the statement said.Unofficial account put the death toll at 14.
The police said ,”The entire surrounding have been cordoned off and swept by Police explosive ordinance disposal unit (E.O.D).
